Your Home is Where my Heart is!Waterford Real Estate

I have 25 years of personal hands on real estate experience as an owner, landlord, trustee and conservator. I am a CT licensed REALTOR(R), Salesperson/Agent actively pursuing my Brokers Licence. No one will work harder for you than I will.

The term Realtor has become ubiquitous in the public for defining all kinds of real estate professionals. It is a professional designation given to members of N.A.R.  Although it's the commonly used term, it's not appropriate in many cases.  This should serve as a guide to buyers and sellers as to the definition of these real estate professional designations.

Agent:  A person who represents you in a real estate transaction.  This is a very generic term.  It literally means that you have an agency relationship with that person.  There are many types of agents.

Salesperson: This is your most common type of Agent.  A salesperson is licensed by the state to sell real estate. The state requires real estate classes to be taken and a salesperson exam to be passed.

Broker:  A broker is also licensed by the state.  Usually, a salesperson/agent takes a large course load of classes to become a broker, including Real Estate Law, Brokerage Management, and Business Management.  Brokers in Connecticut are required to have at least 2 years of experience as a full-time salesperson/agent (there are a few exceptions).  Brokers also have to pass another exam, this time with higher qualifying scores.  Brokers can manage a real estate brokerage.

I Live by the "Golden Rule"

The Realtor Pledge, Code of Ethics and the Golden Rule.

Did you know the Golden Rule was in the Realtor Pledge?

The simple concepts expressed in this document just plain make good ethical sense on every point!

I Pledge Myself...

•To protect the individual right of real estate ownership and widen the opportunity to enjoy it;
•To be honorable and honest in all dealings;
•To seek better to represent my clients by building my knowledge and competence;
•To act fairly towards all in the spirit of the Golden Rule;
•To serve well my community, and through it my country;
•To observe the REALTORS Code of Ethics and conform my conduct to its lofty ideals.
The Golden Rule is embraced by almost every faith group, world wide in differeing ways, however the meaning is the same. "Treat others they way you would want to be treated."

I am proud to represent both Buyers and Sellers according to the Connecticut Real Estate Commission Policy on Agency.

" - Robert Rankowitz, Norwich
"We have bought and sold many properties. Jill was by far the BEST agent we have ever worked with!! She was
very knowledgable and eager to resolve all issues promptly. She was very accommodating during our home

looking to buy or sell a home to Jill!" - Edward H. Farrior Jr.
"This was a very difficult closing, however, Jill worked very hard to make it happen. Her determination to make
this closing come to fruition was amazing. And she did it!" - Buyer
